  • Shut off your Machine: Restarting your computer after removing Valorant and Vanguard is advised to confirm that all components have been correctly removed.
  • Optional: Manual Removal: Going into the Valorant and Vanguard installation folders and erasing any residual files is one way to manually delete them. Usually, Valorant is set up in the C:\Riot Games\VALORANT directory, whereas Vanguard is in the C:\Program Files\ directory. 
  • Removing Drivers to fully Erase Valorant Afterwards: Move to C:\Windows\System32\drivers in File Explorer. Inspect the file system for any files that begin with the letter “vgk” and remove them. To remove these files, you may have to grant administrator access.

  • After that, be sure to empty your recycling bin.

  • Launch the System Tray by navigating to the taskbar.
  • Select “Riot Vanguard” by right-clicking on the icon.
  • To terminate the anti-cheat program that is now operating in the background, choose “Exit Vanguard”.

  • To access “Valorant”, open the client window and click on the symbol located on the left side.
