If the Wi-Fi option disappears from Windows 11, the wireless adapter may be disabled, its driver may have a problem, or a Windows service may not be running.
Method 1: Check Airplane mode
Open Quick Settings and make sure Airplane mode is off. Then check whether Wi-Fi appears.
Method 2: Enable the Wi-Fi adapter
Open Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings. Look for the Wi-Fi adapter and select Enable if it is disabled.
Method 3: Check Device Manager
Open Device Manager and expand Network adapters. Look for the wireless adapter. If it is disabled, enable it. If it has a warning icon, update or reinstall its driver.
Method 4: Restart WLAN AutoConfig
Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Find WLAN AutoConfig, restart it, and set its startup type to Automatic.
Method 5: Restart the PC
Restart Windows and check the network settings again.
Final tip
For laptops, install the wireless driver from the manufacturer’s official support page if Windows cannot detect the adapter.
