If Windows 11 Night light does not turn on, check its settings, schedule, graphics driver, and third-party display software.
## Method 1: Toggle Night light
Open Settings > System > Display > Night light. Turn it off, wait a few seconds, turn it on, and use Turn on now to test it.
## Method 2: Check the schedule
If manual activation works but automatic activation does not, review the scheduled hours. Also check the Windows date, time, and time zone.
## Method 3: Update the graphics driver
Install Windows updates and check the GPU manufacturer’s official support page for a current graphics driver.
## Method 4: Reset the graphics driver
Press Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B. The display may briefly flicker. Test Night light afterward.
## Method 5: Check display software
Apps that control color temperature, HDR, brightness, or monitor profiles can conflict with Night light. Temporarily close them and test again.
## Method 6: Test multiple monitors separately
If you use several displays, disconnect the others temporarily and test the affected screen alone.
### Final tip
If Night light works but looks too weak or strong, adjust its Strength slider and check the monitor’s own picture mode.
