Screen flickering in Windows 11 can make your PC difficult to use. The problem may come from a display driver, an incompatible app, an incorrect refresh rate, or a connection issue. Try the fixes below in order.
1. Restart your PC
A restart can clear a temporary graphics or display problem. Save your work, restart Windows, and check whether the flickering returns.
2. Check the monitor cable
If you use an external monitor, make sure the HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C cable is firmly connected at both ends. If possible, test another cable or port.
3. Check the refresh rate
- Open Settings → System → Display.
- Select Advanced display.
- Choose the affected display.
- Try a different available refresh rate.
4. Update the display driver
